It was the Spring of 2020 and Covid Lockdowns were in full effect.  Quarantined, unable to work from home and with the world seemingly going to hell, our founder Robert decided he needed a drink.

With an arsenal of bar products at his disposal he got to work making cocktails to pass the time and dust off his bartending skills.  Trained to taste each ingredient & how they interacted with each other, he quickly became frustrated with the artificial taste & lack of flavor in the assortment of bitters he had on hand.

It was then that curiosity got the best of him.  Robert had been taking classes at the French Pastry School of Chicago and had been making his own various extracts pre-pandemic. "I basically have everything here" he thought, "Why don't I just make my own bitters?".  So as the weeks turned into months his once expansive spice cabinet turned into an assortment of multi-colored jars and textbooks as Robert set out to refine his creations.

Thankfully quarantine & social distancing eventually lifted allowing Robert to slowly share his creations. First with family and then friends in the renowned LL Bourbon Group based out of Cedar Lake, his Bitters quickly took off and Robert was able to further refine & expand his flavor offerings.

We’ve since expanded from that tiny spice cabinet; but that same drive & passion for high quality flavor still fuels our creative spirit today as we set out to provide both enthusiasts & professionals alike with bold all natural flavors for their own cocktail creations.
